Please have the following supplies as soon as possible:
1. Binder–FOR THIS CLASS ONLY–Students will be responsible for random notebook checks periodically throughout the school year.
- loose-leaf paper
- 5 divided sections
- pockets in front and back
2. Post-It Notes–any size or color
- Students will learn to become close readers this year. These handy adhesive notes will be used for annotating texts in class.
3. Pens AND Pencils
4. Highlighters
Strongly Encouraged but not Required:
1. USB Flashdrive (any size–doesn’t have to be just for Language Arts)
Literature Selections for 2011-2012

One of the first questions students ask is, “What are we going to read this year?” We have mapped out the major works we will cover:
Semester One: Of Mice and Men, Suspense Unit, Lord of the Flies
Semester Two: A Separate Peace, Twelfth Night, Speak
Short stories, poems, and nonfiction selections will also be included within each unit.
Style Guide
